A dispute freezes the money and starts a countdown, whether or not you did anything wrong. How chargebacks actually work on Stripe, what evidence wins, and the prevention that keeps the rate low.
читать далее →Slow query in hand, most teams guess at a fix: add an index, cache it, buy RAM. Postgres already wrote down the answer. How to run and read EXPLAIN ANALYZE, and what to look for in the output.
читать далее →Every PHP worker, queue worker, and cron job opens its own database connection. Where those slots go, when PgBouncer earns its place, and the session features that break in transaction pooling mode.
читать далее →An append-only table grows forever, and DELETE doesn't shrink it. When range partitioning is worth the setup cost, why DROP beats DELETE for retention, and the Laravel-side plumbing that keeps the partitions coming.
читать далее →A dashboard that sums a year of rows on every load will feel slow no matter how you cache it. How to compute aggregates ahead of time with summary tables and Postgres materialized views, and the threshold where reporting outgrows a single database.
читать далее →Every project ends up storing data whose shape you don't control - provider payloads, settings, audit diffs. Where a JSON column earns its place in a Laravel app, the rules that keep it from rotting, and the point where you extract it back into real columns.
читать далее →Octane boots a Laravel app once and keeps workers warm, which removes framework boot time from every request. Where that speedup actually lands, the bug class long-running workers introduce, and why most apps should still measure before switching.
читать далее →Most 'near me' features are a distance sort over a few thousand points. How to build it with plain lat/lng columns, a bounding box, and one index, and the point where PostGIS starts earning its install.
читать далее →Dashboards, progress bars, and notification badges only need the server to push. Server-Sent Events do that over plain HTTP, with reconnects built in, and often remove the extra real-time server from your architecture.
читать далее →The primary key is the cheapest decision on day one and the most expensive one to reverse. What auto-increment integers leak, what UUIDs cost, and the hybrid that avoids the tradeoff entirely.
читать далее →Support keeps needing to log into a user's account, and 'ask for the password' is not a policy. How to build impersonation into a web app so the support workflow works, the session is unmistakable, the audit trail is honest, and the feature doesn't become the softest backdoor in the codebase.
читать далее →SQLite handles more real web workloads than its toy reputation suggests, and fails in specific, predictable ways. When the single-file database is the right answer, where it stops working, and the setup that keeps locking and backups from surprising you.
читать далее →A fresh server gets SSH login attempts within the first hour online. The checklist we run on every new VPS: user accounts and keys, a firewall, automatic security updates, and a log baseline, before any application code goes on it.
читать далее →A 50,000-row dataset freezes a Vue app long before the database complains. Practical patterns for big lists and tables: server-side pagination first, virtualization where it's actually justified, and reactivity habits that keep rendering cheap.
читать далее →Inertia trades an API layer for full page loads, which is exactly why its optimization patterns matter. How we use partial reloads, deferred props, and shared props to keep Laravel + Vue pages fast.
читать далее →You don't have to convert the whole app to get real value from TypeScript. How we adopt it incrementally in Vue projects: props and API payloads first, vue-tsc in CI, strictness turned up one dial at a time.
читать далее →The demo works in a notebook. Production AI features break on latency, cost, non-determinism and prompt injection. How to ship a feature that stays useful when the model misbehaves.
читать далее →A CSP that blocks nothing is not a policy. How to ship a real Content-Security-Policy with nonces in Laravel, keep Inertia and Vue working, and avoid the third-party script breakage that makes teams give up.
читать далее →An expired card should not cost you the customer. How to build dunning: retry schedules, a grace period you can explain to support, dunning email that gets opened, and rules for when access actually ends.
читать далее →You do not need a platform team to get reproducible servers. Where Ansible, Docker Compose and plain scripts each earn their place on a small team's stack, and where a full Kubernetes setup is wasted effort.
читать далее →Trial users leave in the first session when the app hands them an empty database and a nav menu. A practical guide to onboarding that ends with a real result instead of a tutorial tour.
читать далее →Every project attracts small extras after the scope is fixed. How a studio and a client can handle change requests so the project ships on time and nobody feels cheated.
читать далее →Most companies start with spreadsheets, and for a while that works. The signs a business has outgrown its sheets, and how to move to a proper web app without losing data or momentum.
читать далее →Developer gone, agency closed, or the contract ended: what a proper handover package contains, and the four checks that prove you can actually run the product without its author.
читать далее →Feature tests cover the PHP side, but half the bugs in a Vue or Inertia app only show up in a browser. How to add Playwright end-to-end tests to a small team's stack and keep them fast enough to actually run.
читать далее →Adding Sign in with Google or GitHub to a Laravel app looks like a weekend task. The OAuth callback is the easy part; account linking, unverified emails, and failure states are where accounts get lost.
читать далее →Debugging an outage is half the job; the other half is the conversation. What to say in the first message, how often to update, and why a fixed cadence beats a confident ETA.
читать далее →PDF generation looks like a library call and fails on fonts, page breaks, and numbers that moved after launch. How we build invoice and document generation in web apps so the output survives printing, email attachments, and accountants.

читать далее →If a pricing tier says '5 monitors' or '10,000 events per month', something in the app has to count and something has to enforce. A practical guide to usage metering, quota checks, and overage behavior that users understand.
читать далее →Splitting a long form into steps helps only when the steps are real. How to break a wizard into stages, save progress so an abandoned step isn't lost work, and validate so the last page holds no surprises.
читать далее →Swap passwords for something people can actually use. How magic links and passkeys work in a Laravel app, the failure modes each one has, and why every passwordless flow still needs a recovery path.

читать далее →Round trips on client feedback dominate timelines more than development does. How to review a staging build so a bug report turns into a fix on the first try, and how to keep feedback from becoming scope creep.
читать далее →Not every slow, plugin-heavy WordPress site needs a rebuild, and not every rebuild pays off. How we decide whether to keep WordPress and maintain it, or move the site to a custom stack.
читать далее →Most handoff pain between designers and developers comes from missing context, not missing talent. What a handoff should contain beyond the link to the file, and how to run the review so questions surface before build starts.
читать далее →Tailwind is fast to write and easy to let sprawl. Where real projects break down, the three patterns that keep template code readable, and why the config file is where discipline pays off.
читать далее →A website that ships and then gets ignored quietly rots. What ongoing maintenance actually includes, what it usually costs in practice, and how to tell if your site is being cared for or just hosted.

читать далее →The soft-delete flag looks like a one-line feature and then leaks into every query, report, and unique constraint. When keeping 'deleted' rows is the right call, when it quietly breaks things, and what to use instead.
читать далее →Imports are the mirror of exports: wrong encodings, semicolon dialects, duplicate rows, and money amounts a spreadsheet mangled. How we build a CSV import that either finishes clean or reports exactly which row failed, and never half-applies a file.
читать далее →Retries, double-clicks, and at-least-once delivery mean almost every operation in a web app eventually runs twice. What idempotency actually means, where each layer of the stack gets it from, and how to test for it.

читать далее →A step-by-step migration checklist for moving a production web app to a new VPS — DNS TTLs, database sync, the cutover window, and the rollback you prepare before you need it.
читать далее →Data exports look trivial until a customer opens one in Excel and the invoice total is a date. A practical guide to CSV that survives encoding, commas, localized parsing, huge row counts, and users who will re-import it.
читать далее →Why timestamps break for users in other timezones — wall-time written as UTC, offsets that don't know about DST, cron running in the server's zone. The rules we apply in Laravel, Vue, and Go projects.
